Roofing in Paradise Valley, where tile and foam meet

Paradise Valley homes are rarely one simple roof. Pitched tile over the living spaces, flat foam behind the parapets, skylights, and rooftop units tucked out of sight. We check all of it and tell you straight what needs work.

What we find

The trouble is usually where two roofs meet

On a custom home, the tile section and the flat section are often built by different trades and tied together with flashing. That transition, along with parapet walls, scuppers and the curbs around rooftop units, is where most of the leaks we chase on these homes start.

Foam is a great roof for the flat sections when the coating is kept up. Let the coating wear thin and the sun starts breaking down the foam underneath. A recoat on time costs a lot less than replacing foam later.

The tile sections age like tile anywhere in the Valley: the tile holds up and the underlayment underneath wears out first.

Worth a look if you see

  • Stains near a skylight, a chimney or where a flat roof meets a wall
  • Water standing behind a parapet a day after rain
  • Rust or debris at the scuppers and downspouts
  • A chalky, thin or cracked coating on the flat sections
  • Cracked or slipped tile on the pitched sections
  • Gaps or cracked sealant around rooftop AC curbs

How we work on your property

Your home, your schedule

We know a Paradise Valley property comes with gates, landscaping and a household that has its own schedule. We work around it.

No surprise visits, no mess left behind, and no photos of your home posted without your OK.

We set the day with you

You pick the window. We follow your gate and access instructions, and you know who's coming before they arrive.

We clean up as we go

Debris comes off the roof, and we sweep for nails before we leave.

Your privacy stays yours

Your photos are for your report. We never post pictures of your home without permission.

Here for the season?

Coming back for winter? Have the roof checked first.

Flat sections and parapets take the worst of an Arizona summer. Book an evaluation when you get back, before the winter rains, and catch the small things while they're small.

Questions

Paradise Valley roofing questions

See every city we serve on the service area page, or read about roofing in Scottsdale.

Is the roof evaluation really free?

Yes. You get photos of what we find and a written recommendation, whether you hire us or not.

My home has tile and flat foam sections. Can you look at both?

Yes. We check every section and the places they meet, and you get one report for the whole house.

How often should a foam roof be recoated?

It depends on the coating and how much sun the roof gets. We look at its condition and tell you whether it's due now or can wait.

Do I need to be home?

Not always. If we can reach the roof and you leave us access instructions, we can do the evaluation and send you the photos.

Do you offer financing?

Financing is available. Ask about it during your evaluation.
